Welcome to the Velasquez Family Coffee Website.
Velasquez Family Coffee was started by Guillermo and Cathy Velasquez to sell the high quality coffee grown by our family and friends in the mountains of Honduras. This ensures them a livable income and supports their effort to protect and enhance the precious cloud forest ecosystem where they farm. Velasquez Family Coffee has been featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, The Twin Cities Daily Planet, and in The Brief, a publication of the University of Minnesota. We were honored to be one of 14 finalists in the Neighborhood Development Center's 2012 Annual Awards banquet.

How to Buy Velasquez Family Coffee
1) Order through our secure Shopping Cart -- You can also email us through our web form or call us at 651-587-5356.
2) Free Monthly Delivery -- If you live or work in Saint Paul or Minneapolis (and some nearby suburbs) we can deliver to your home or office FREE of charge on the 2nd Friday of the month. Our next delivery dates are June 14 and July 12. Order coffee occasionally or every month, as you wish. Sign up for a monthly subscription and one 12 oz bag is FREE.
3) Monthly Mail Orders -- Even if you don't live in our free delivery area, save 10% by signing up for a monthly mailed subscription.
4) Retail Outlets -- Stop by one of our few retail partners.
Coffee News
Last week on National Public Radio they celebrated Coffee Week with a wide ranging series of on-air and online coffee stories. One new trend that came up is Direct Trade coffee. Velasquez Family Coffee has, of course, been direct trade since we started in 2001. But we thought we could use the opportunity to introduce you to the coffee farmers behind your coffee. Also, in our May Newsletter a new label for our coffee bags and a new name for our Vienna Roast, an opportunity to WIN A FREE BAG of coffee, and four climate action steps you can take.
