After the Internet Cafe, we left Comayagua and headed out of the city, stopping first at the village of San Jeronimo where we turn off the pavement and head up the gravel road to the farm. But first we stopped at Guillermo's sister Chela's dental clinic that she has had at that intersection for about 12 years. Alicia had a very loose tooth, so Chela expertly removed it for her. Guillermo and Jake also took the opportunity to visit their favorite barber nearby, a man named Enrique who does an excellent haircut for only L25 (about $1.20). Guillermo and the boys have many times arrived in Honduras very bushy headed waiting for his services and Enrique has been known to brag about his loyal customers who come all the way from Minnesota for their haircuts. All our errand complete, the kids and I piled into the back of Abilio's pickup along with our luggage and our groceries to begin the bumpy ride up the mountain. Several times a day pickup trucks travel this road between the mountain and the city loaded with people and sometimes coffee or other items. Given the condition of the road, buses and non-4 wheel drive cars are unable to get through, so several of Abilio's brother-in-laws have started this "mountain taxi" service.
